iiTHRU: Teams

Team Objectives and Utilities

Teams listed are teams with goals specific to the completion of the physical project that we are
setting out to accomplish. Our group is dependent on these teams reaching their goals. Other teams
have goals as well, but are mostly goals that support these teams reach our final goal of project completion.

Project Coordination: The Project Coordination Team is ensuring that the people and resources devoted to completing a
goal are used appropriately. Moreover, we will coordinate meetings, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
We can also support one or more project teams to achieve goals. Additionally, we ensure project
advancement by distributing equitable tasks and to keep track of the teams’ activities in order to
facilitate the writing of the final report.

Research: The Research Team has one of the most important jobs of the team. Since we
are designing a new mobile application, they will be in charge of researching how
to utilize a users MAC address for the purposes of identification and localization.
This is absolutely important to the mobile application because it will allow for
wireless communication and user efficiency and friendliness.

Online Media: The Online Media Team is in charge of running the website and managing and updating our Facebook page.
The Facebook page will contain short project description as well as links to video for this IPRO. It will
have a commercial purpose of creating an interest to this project from the independent consumer side.

Video: The Video Team will be dedicated to creating visual media that will help introduce and
commercialize our project. They will do this by using both cartoon elements as well as utilizing
business and commercial mind set.

Mobile Applications: The Mobile Application Team is an essential part of the project group. This group is dedicated
to revamping the mobile application and possibly completely recreating it. Specifically, this team will
be trying to find a way to allow the mobile to retain the IP address of the server and also create a way to
wirelessly transmit orders and transactions via the mobile app.

Database: The Database Team is also an essential part to our project team. The current database is only
accessible from the previous IPRO's computer. This team is in charge of finding a way to connect to the
database from any computer and if this is not possible, than creating a new database that is desired for
our project. One of the main concerns is documenting exactly how to run and use this database as no
previous IPRO has done this.

Kiosk: The Kiosk Team is physically trying to alter the way drive-thru systems work. The current kiosk
is a sufficient and serve the purpose of allowing our software and hardware systems to be tested. This is
not enough however. The kiosk is an essential part of the drive-thru experience and is a cause for
concern when dealing with customers. The kiosk team will attempt to develop a new, more efficient
and user friendly kiosk by the addition of touchscreens and even possibly utilizing radio frequencies.

Poster and Brochure: Posters and Brochures will contain the information of IPRO 315 briefly. It will treat how we
made this product and what kinds of technology we used. They should be concise, clear, attractive
and have a good balance of pictures and explanation.

User Interface: After the system is finished we will make a survey in the whole IPRO team to get the feedback
and suggestions of the ‘customer’. We can make a questionnaire to achieve the survey. We will
also compare the pros and cons of our drive thru system and other drive thru system. To realize
this we can make an investigation about how other drive thru system (eg. Mcdonald's) work. After
the survey and evaluation, we will sent the information back to implementation team so that
they can make some improvements.
