Low Power Electronics

Class D Amplifiers
The focus of IPRO 344 is to capture and deliver superior sound quality at drive-thru restaurants. To accomplish our goals, we have employed industry leading electronics. Microphones made by Shure allow us to successfully capture the customer's voice, while class D amplifiers by Texas Instruments regenerate the signal during transmission.

This semester we made several improvements to the overall system. We overhauled the Server Side Module (SSM) by completely repackaging the components in a brand new case. This repackage cleans up the component layout and adds easier and more aesthetically pleasing controls to the outside of the SSM. The repackage makes future internal upgrades more convenient and possible.
We also sanded and repainted the kiosk to make it more visually appealing, as well as to make it easier to remove the back panels to access the internal components. In the kiosk, the microphone placement and surroundings were modified to proveide an optimal sound capture environment.
